2020年4月にリリースされたYocto3.1LTS(Dunfell)の16回目のポイントリリース、3.1.16 公開のアナウンスが2022年5月5日付けでありました。
Yocto3.1 Dunfellは、2020年4月に最低2年間のサポートを行うLTSとしてリリースが行われましたが、本年4月にリリースされた次期LTS Yocto4.0 Kirkston において、既存のレシピと互換性のない変更がおこなわれることもあり、昨年9月に2024年までサポート期間が延長されることがアナウンスされていました。

当初の予定では2022/4/25版で構築、2022/5/6リリース予定でしたが、QAを経て1日早いリリースとなっています。

5/9 9:00時点で、tiffに対するCVEのfix や cve-check でjsonのフォーマットの指定など、次期リリースに向けてコミットが始まっています。

次のポイントリリース3.1.17は 2021/6/6版で構築、QA後の2022/6/17のリリースを予定しています。
